Q: Where can I have my ears pierced?

A: This is probably the most common question we’re asked. The Inverness Ear Piercing System is used in retail stores, salons, jewelry stores, department stores, body piercing shops, pharmacies, and doctors’ offices in over 40 countries around the globe. Visit our store locator to find the ear piercing locations nearest you.

Q: What makes the Inverness system safe?

A: The Inverness System was designed for ease of use in retail settings and has two unique features that ensure the safest ear piercing experience possible.

  1. Inverness is the only ear piercing system with fully-enclosed earring capsules that prevent our piercing earrings from being exposed to potential contaminants prior to piercing. Our earring capsules are packaged in sealed, sterilized cartridges that are not opened until selected for piercing. Unlike other systems on the market, our earrings are never exposed until they are safely inserted in the ear.
  2. Our patented Safety Back™ allows for the safest healing possible by shielding the piercing tip and preventing the earring back from being squeezed too tight. This allows for proper airflow and prevents the earring back from becoming embedded during the healing process. Inverness is the ONLY ear piercing system with the patented Safety Back™.

Q: Do I have a choice of earring styles when I’m pierced?

A: Yes. Inverness piercing earrings are available in a range of styles and metal choices to match your look and your budget. All of our piercing earrings are made with ultra-thin piercing posts & an extra-sharp tip for a gentle, comfortable piercing.

Q: How long will my piercing take to heal?

A: The average healing time is 6 weeks for an earlobe piercing and 12 weeks for a cartilage piercing.

  1. Can I change my earrings during the healing period?
  2. No. Inverness recommends that you leave your piercing earrings in and follow your aftercare instructions for 6 weeks after an earlobe piercing and 12 weeks after a cartilage piercing.
